Collaboration for Sustainability
With the help and guidance from the John Dory's Team, we also participate in water conservation, waste reduction and community projects. Our restaurants are measured on activities through our Green Operational Reports. These provide the Eco Team with data and feedback that supports further research and development in technologies, to help reduce our environmental impact. This holds true to our commitment to sustainable business practices.
Part of our commitment to this sustainability is ensuring that our communities are also taken care of. We organize beach cleanups with our local communities to keep our beaches rubbish-free.
Captain Fanplastic Project
We have teamed up with Captain Fanplastic, a primary school programme that educates learners in a fun and practical way about the harmful effects of plastic pollution on our oceans and the animals that call it home. This creates behavioural change with the youth so that we can all enjoy the bounty of our oceans for generations to come.Watch Now
Beach Day Clean-Up
A cloudy yet warm morning greeted Cape Town Volunteers who joined us at the penultimate Trash Bash 2018, coinciding with the International Coastal Clean-up Day 15 September. The purpose of this gathering was simple: to remove coastal litter from Sunset Beach and gather scientific data about the dreaded "Dirty Dozen" of plastic pollution.
